TMS

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a treatment modality for brain disorders.  In 2008, FDA cleared it for treatment-resistant depression.  Currently, it’s being studied for the treatment of ADHD, tinnitus, auditory hallucination, OCD, PTSD, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder, and other brain dysfunctions.  For depression, TMS has been shown to cure patients who have not benefitted from pharmaceutical treatments.  That is the reason why major health insurance companies are now approving TMS as part of their treatment options.

Who We Are

We are a team of dedicated mental health professionals whose purpose is to help you get better with your psychiatric conditions.  We have offices throughout Southern California, serving residents of West Los Angeles including UCLA students, West Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles including USC students, and Newport Beach including UC Irvine students.  We’re open 7 days a week and are available after normal business hours at our West Hollywood location.

What we do

We use the state-of-the-art TMS system for our patients.  We treat our patients with the best protocol that we know.  In addition to TMS, we also provide transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and vagal stimulation to help enhance the effects of treatment.  Your progress is documented carefully and the improvement is solidified with tools that we provide you.

In addition to treating depression, there are evidence that TMS helps with cognition, concentration, anxiety, OCD symptoms.  We tract those progresses as well.

If you’re currently on medication and your depression symptoms are not going away, we can provide a comprehensive evaluation to see if you would benefit from TMS treatment.  Many patients have gotten cured of their depressive symptoms with TMS treatments.

Why We Do It

We know many people are not getting the best psychiatric treatment available, despite hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars spent annually.  It’s not only the money spent, but the toll of missed work days or school days, lack of productivity or relationships, and the psychic pain and suffering associated with under-treated or poorly treated mental illnesses.

People who suffer from clinical depression suffer silently.  Others cannot appreciate what they experience.  Every day is a struggle for them.  Sleep, memory, libido, motivation, and energy level are all affected adversely.

We believe in the TMS treatment modality because of the evidence that we’ve seen with it.

We want to offer them an opportunity to live their days without the heavy burden of chronic depression symptoms.  We want them to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to see color around them, to be able to enjoy their lives again.
